We are very pleased to announce that the Director of our Centre, Dr. Janet F. Werker, is recipient of the 2017 Pickering Award for Outstanding Contribution to Developmental Psychology in Canada. The award, presented by the Pickering Centre for Research in Human Development at Carleton University, was created to honour Canadians who have made outstanding contributions to developmental psychology in the areas of leadership, mentorship, and scholarship. On Thursday, May 18, 2017, Janet will accept the award at Carleton University and present the 2017 Pickering Lecture entitled Language Acquisition in Monolingual and Bilingual Learning Infants.
