Jenna Junsay

B.A. in Psychology and Speech Sciences, 2nd year, UBC | Research Assistant

Jenna is a 2nd-year B.A. student majoring in Psychology and Speech Sciences. Growing up being exposed to many occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, she is grateful to be involved in two fields with a strong connection. After completing and enjoying many linguistics courses in her first year, Jenna became interested to learn more about phonological acquisition, bilingualism, and their intersections — leading up to her joining the Infant Studies Centre shortly before her second year. Other interests encompass neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive functioning, psychological factors of chronic pain, and family dynamics in multicultural environments. Jenna is excited to see her progress throughout her time as a research assistant in the lab — and she would like to pursue a career in either child/developmental psychology or speech-language pathology after her undergraduate degree
