Kanna Yagi

B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education (Interpersonal Development), 4th year, UBC | Research Assistant
Kanna is a 4th-year B.A. student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Interpersonal Development at UBC. She is grateful for the opportunity to be a RA for the Infant Studies Centre and work on the Pitch Accent Project—looking at infants’ perception of musical pitch and accent patterns in non-native speech contrast. Kanna also volunteers as a Senior RA for the Early Development Research Group and works as a Behavioural Interventionist. Aside from her interest in early development, Kanna is also interested in studying the various obstacles and facilitators for healthy interpersonal relationships—especially in family relationships. In her free time, Kanna enjoys going on walks, making playlists, and collecting plants!
