B.A. Honours in Speech Sciences, 4th year, UBC
Dlorah is a 4th-year B.A. Honours student majoring in Speech Sciences at UBC. She enjoys interacting with little kids as she hails from a big family back in her home country. With a keen interest in language development and infant cognition, Dlorah feels privileged to have the opportunity to be an RA at the Infant Studies Centre. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of various neuroimaging techniques and aspires to conduct her independent research in the future, focusing on the development of children with speech and language disorders. She advocates promoting the availability of treatment options that are accessible, affordable, and tailored to everyone’s individual needs. Dlorah hopes to utilize her own experiences to make valuable contributions to the lab, as she is confident that she will gain immense expertise and growth through her involvement. Outside the lab, she enjoys going around BC and often finds herself exploring the cuisines it has to offer.
